Writing your own bio is, in my opinion, an often overlooked and enormously underappreciated skill. Those who have done them will know what I mean when I say it’s hard not to sound more than a just little, well, up your own arse.

Like if I mention the awards I’ve won, even just my most recent showing at Clios, Ad of the Year, Loeries, LIA, D&AD and Cannes, doesn’t it come off as a little tacky? Yes. Probably. So I won’t mention that then.

What I will say is that even though we all use the fancy energy saving sort now, I still love the sound that old tungsten light bulbs make when they pop; I like finding money in my own (and occasionally other people’s) pockets and I feel surprisingly at home with all things that go bump in the night. My dislikes include, but are not limited to, writing bios.
